#4 Using Ponytail Holders
It's time to take the holder in the free hand and open it up as much as possible. The easiest way to do this is by putting the tips of the thumb and fingers inside the elastic ponytail holders. Spread each finger as far apart from the others as possible and grab the end of the tail with the same hand.
It's important to place any ponytail holders that are used at the base of the tail in the beginning. This will provide a little support, but will also allow enough room for another loop.
#5 Creating a Loop
Even though elastic ponytail holders are helpful, it's important to double loop them. It's an added support that keeps the ponytail in place throughout the day. So, once the holder is in place it can be twisted. There should be another hole on top that can be expanded by using the same format as step #4.
Feed the hair back through it one time and leave the ponytail holder as close to the roots as possible. Once this is complete, the hair should be brushed one more time to remove any new tangles.
Five steps is all it takes for anyone to enjoy the ponytail look. However, elastic ponytail holders must be used or the finished look won't be the same.
