Coloring your hair is a fun way to change your look, but before you do so consider whether you want permanent or temporary hair dye.
Temporary hair dye is great for many occasions. If you want an extreme look for Halloween or to show your team spirit at the big game, you can use temporary hair dye, and then wash it out with one or two shampoos. Temporary hair dye is also useful if you have never colored your hair before and are afraid about how it will look. By using a temporary hair dye, you can experiment without the risk.
Temporary hair dyes are also great because they don't use ammonia or other harsh chemicals. It is very gentle on your skin and hair and also tends to be less expensive. Temporary hair dye does not penetrate the cuticle layer of the hair shaft, which is why the color does not last very long.
